The Player

A seemingly solid and dependable right-back coming through the ranks at Carrington, Man City’s local full-back Kieran Trippier made waves in the 2007/08 FA Youth Cup winning run, where he emerged as a flying threat into attack as well as talented in his own end. He was key to the team’s success and went on to wear the Three Lions when called up by the England Under-18s and 19s.

His club will give him every chance to break through, even if they have got billions to spend on the world’s best in his position. He’s captained the academy and reserves on occasion, and will now press on to try and make good on his talents.

2008/09

After winning the Youth Cup he stepped up full-time to the Reserves, and trained regularly with the Manchester City first team.
