City finish fourth in Dallas

Jim Cassell’s youngsters finished fourth in the XXX Dallas Cup, which has been taking place over the past week. After an impressive group stage, City fell at the Semi Final stage on penalty kicks to Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo after a 0-0 draw, before losing the 3rd/4th playoff to Germans Eintracht Frankfurt.

City’s kids continue to shine in Dallas

Two games, two wins, and two impressive performances from Manchester City’s academy in the Dallas Cup. After their opening game thrashing of AC Milan, they met tough opposition in Mexican side Tigres, and once again two of their entries in the current Top 50 found the scoresheet.

After another exhaustive midweek and weekend programme of football, the season has come to an end for many of the prospects, but for a select few there’s still everything to play for.
This Sunday sees an extended round-up, after missing the midweek football due to a busy time for myself. As the season nears an end, the stakes are still very high for a number of players.
The Easter weekend in England sees action twice across the Football League, with the Monday seeing a full calendar of action. We round up the movers and shakers, and bring news of international success for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Here’s the round-up of this weekend’s prospect action, including another goal for Jonathan Obika, and a struggle in Germany for some of Chelsea’s young talents.
Manchester City are certainly loving their first foray into the Dallas Cup. Three games, three wins, a Semi Final berth, and starring roles for three of their entries into the current prospect list. Thursday say Robbie Mak and Alex Nimely continue their fine form with two goals apiece against Toronto FC. Elsewhere a number of other prospects have been in action too, and we cover them here.
