To continue what has been an amazing year to date for Matthew James, Manchester United’s young midfielder today signed professional terms with the Premier League Champions.
James has been in superb form for much of 2009, and earned a first-team call-up for the last game of the league season at Hull, being an unused substitute. He has regularly featured for England’s Under-19 team and will be a crucial part of their squad for the European Championships in three weeks.
He agreed a two-year deal and was joined in the signing of pro terms by team-mates Scott Wootton and Oliver Gill. For all matters on Man Utd’s academy, read the always great United Youth.
